| Customer Reviews: Fantastic Fudge! January 26, 2010 C. McClellan (Oregon) This is some of the very best fudge. They also make WONDERFUL truffles. I LOVE the mint ones! If you are interested, you should give there confections a try. You won't regret it.
A wonderful product, and a terrific present! November 30, 2008 L. Joan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This will be our third year purchasing fudge and truffles from the Brigittine Monks. We give boxes as Christmas presents, and everyone LOVES it! Our friends and family say that it is the best chocolate they have had in a long time, and we agree. The monks are great to work with, and shipping was reasonable, especially considering the amount of fudge and truffles we bought! Friends and family have gone on to order for THEIR friends and family.
I remember this fudge well November 9, 2008 E. Thomsen (People's Republic of Arvigtina. :)) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I remember this fudge well, I used to live in Oregon and remember driving once to their Monestary once to buy it from them directly. One would also see it in some stores in the Portland area. It is an excellent product and well worth the purchase, assuming it's of the same quality as it was a few years ago.
As for the gentleman complaining about the shipping, remember that if they have continued with the same recipe they used when I last purchased their fudge, this is a product with no preservatives made with fresh cream and maybe butter. Otherwise, they have to use expensive shipping to get it to your location fast, possibly in a cold pack box of some sort or at least packed with an artificial "ice" like blue ice or some sort. Thus the expense. That and shipping as of the date of my review is $6.95, not 8 dollars. Anyway, the shipping is right out in front where it's plain to see, IMO it's silly to post a complaint about such, especially if you possibly haven't actually ordered or tried the fudge. Check other products of a similar nature at a cottage industry level, and I think the other reviewer will see the so called absurd shipping isn't absurd.
And no, for the record I am not a Monk, nor even Catholic. Just a fan of their fudge doing my best to give an unbiased review.
Be warned 39.95dollars for shipping February 5, 2008 A. Journey (USA) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
For an item costing 10.95 its a complete ripoff to charge 8 dollars for shipping. this person is ripping people off!
Soooooooo yummy December 20, 2007 Brianna Barnes (So Cal) I was sent these for Christmas. It is sooooo rich, creamy and tasty! Reminds me of the homemade fudge my mother and grandmother made every Christmas. Highly recommended for any sweet tooth in your family.
